Integrasi Literasi Digital Melalui Video Blog (Vlog) Sebagai Strategi Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Kontekstual Bagi Siswa SMA di Pulau Damer

Pulau Damer di Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya merupakan wilayah terdepan, terluar, dan tertinggal (3T) yang masih menghadapi keterbatasan infrastruktur pendidikan dan teknologi. Rendahnya literasi digital serta kemampuan berbahasa Inggris menjadi tantangan utama bagi siswa sekolah menengah atas di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengintegrasikan literasi digital ke dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kontekstual melalui media Video Blog (Vlog). Program dilaksanakan selama satu minggu di SMA Negeri Aprian dan SMA Negeri 18 Maluku Barat Daya dengan menerapkan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Siswa dilatih menyusun naskah, merekam, dan menyunting Vlog berdurasi 2–3 menit yang mengangkat tema budaya dan lingkungan lokal. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris dari skor 60 pada pre-test menjadi 77 pada post-test, atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 28%. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan keterampilan literasi digital dasar siswa, terutama dalam penyusunan konten, pengambilan gambar, penyuntingan video, dan pemanfaatan media digital secara bertanggung jawab. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi berbahasa Inggris, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri, kreativitas, kemampuan kolaborasi, serta apresiasi terhadap budaya lokal. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Vlog dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kontekstual merupakan strategi yang efektif dan berpotensi direplikasi sebagai model pembelajaran berbasis konteks di wilayah 3T maupun daerah terpencil lainnya.
